What a learning journey

finally finished all 23 things. It was a fun and enlightening experience. There were so many things happened in the last couple of years that we, as librarians, need to catch up to stay ahead of the game. The limit of all these is as high as the sky.

had a brief look at youtube, and podcast and found there is a wealth of information around that we can tap into either personally or professionally. I've already identified a few podcasts which will be very useful to my children in their learning. One podcast i found useful to me is the one on presentation skills. I also felt a bit information overload.

i didn't find online word processing and spreadsheets useful, at least to me. It's not as flexible as as destop counterparts.

Thanks for organising this learning program, which is most useful to me. It's really beneficial to set aside some time each week to update ourselves with the new stuff coming out each day. Looking forward to similiar program in the future.

Two more generators: sketch and calendar

Like this generator. Was not able to find a portrait so had to use this picture. I believe it will have a better effect on portrait.

Also like the calendar

generator. it's easy to personalise and might make a perfect christmas gift!

Image Generator is fun

I played around with this new tool and successfully generated the picutures attached. It's very cool . not a big fan of "library thing" and "Rollyo", but it's good to know that they exist.

Quote of the day

Subscribed a few news feeds and one of them is "Quote of the day". I particularly like this quote:

Middle age is when your broad mind and narrow waist begin to change places.

Great Wall

i just read that this is no longer one of the 7 wonders of the world. wondering what has filled its spot

beautiful photos on flickr

i found some really nice photos on flickr. it's just so amazing. i managed to set one of them as my wallpaper but it doesn't look as sharp when it's enlarged.

i'll sign in flickr when it's up as it is down at the moment.
